Avatar Project: will we be immortal in 30 years?

An initiative of transhumanism that plans for immortality through the transfer of consciousness to an artificial brain.

This project is part of the so-called Initiative 2045, a global organization that
gathers information from scientific research on transhumanism, the
prolongation of human life and developments in cybernetics and computing.
It also works as a center for investments related to all that.

Transhumanism is a movement that seeks to transform the human being through engineering, in order to "improve" the body. Part of human evolution.
Technologies include: cyborgs, synthetic biology, nanotechnology, and 3D bioprinting.

Avatar Project and Mind Transfer.

Moore`s Law says that the power of computers doubles every 18 months. This
indicates, according to the Avatar Project, that by 2045 a next step in human evolution could be taken, where our organs could already be replaced by artificial organs.

The project is divided into four phases:
Avatar A talks about a robotic reproduction or copy of the human body,
controlled through a brain-computer interface;
Avatar B is about a brain transplant to the avatar (robot or cyborg);
Avatar C is the transplantation of the mind or consciousness into an artificial brain (of that
cyborg);
Avatar D is about creating a holographic body (made of light).

It is projected that by 2045 they would have created Avatar D. The main idea is to develop an artificial brain. Scientists such as Alexander Panov of Russia and Graeme Snooks of Australia are cited, who have concluded that by 2045 what has been called evolutionary "singularity" could take place.

Immortality through cybernetic machines

The transplantation of brains to articial bodies or cyborgs is based on the experiments of the Russian scientist, Vladimir Demikhov, who worked with organ transplants.

The ultimate goal for 2045 is to be able to transfer the data present in our brains, which encompasses the entire mind: memories, thoughts, emotions, personality, etc.
In addition, with a cybernetic body there would be greater resistance to many elements and dangers, such as diseases, aging or injuries that our biological body suffers. Due to this it is concluded that we could reach mortality through this cybernetic transhumanism.

Medical science is currently making great strides in creating articular organs, such as the example of a thyroid gland that was "3D printed" in 2015.

As for mind transfer to an artificial brain, there are several companies that are investigating this, such as Elon Musk`s Neuralink, Paradromics and Human Longevity Inc.

The Avatar Project is a great gathering point for all research on a cybernetic human body and mind transfer. At the moment it seems very futuristic, but, as we saw, there is a lot of support for this. Will immortality be likely in 2045?
