The report comments that Beijing officials from the Chinese National Health Commission said they are using drugs that they normally use to treat HIV to treat pneumonia caused by the virus.

It is said that they do not yet know of a medicine capable of curing the disease but that they are working tirelessly to develop one.

Already, the US National Institute of Health is unleashing research into the genetic code of the virus and hopes to begin human trials for a possible vaccine in three months.
