Apple prepares a 32-core processor superior to the M1 and a Mac Pro half the size of the current one

Apple is working on a 32-core processor for its high-end Macs. They would also present in 2022 a Mac Pro with a new design half the size of the current one.

The new M1 processors marked a before and after in the computer industry. These chips developed by Apple capable of offering great performance and autonomy are only the first step on a long journey. According to Bloomberg, those in Cupertino are already working on a new version with up to 32 cores. The most surprising thing is that they could arrive next year for high-end computers. They would also present a redesigned Mac Pro, half the size of the current one, in 2022, although there are no further details.

With the presentation of the M1, Apple moved away, gained independence by achieving greater control of the hardware-software integration of its computers and surprised with an enormous performance. The M1 is just the beginning

The introduction of the new MacBook Air, Mac mini and MacBook Pro with the M1 marked the beginning of Apple`s second great transition. The first occurred in 2006 when the company decided to abandon Power PC and switch to Intel. Now, the metamorphosis of the Macs could be much cleaner and faster since the entire range could have Apple Silicon in 2022.

While there are not too many details about Apple`s new processors, according to Mark Gurmam, chips with up to 32 cores could reach high-end desktop computers between 2021 and 2022. New CPUs with up to 16 high-performance cores and four low-power cores would also arrive for new MacBook Pro and iMac.
