China`s National Health Commission announced that a 4-year-old boy was infected with the H3N8 strain of bird flu, the first infection of its kind

As reported by the Commission last night in a statement, the child was infected in the city of Zhumadian, in the central province of Henan.

He developed a fever and other flu-like symptoms on April 5 and was subsequently hospitalized.

On April 24, the commission confirmed that he had contracted the H3N8 strain after coming into contact with chickens that he raised in his home.

“This virus has been detected in horses, dogs and birds around the world, but never before has a case been recorded in a human. This is something exceptional and the risk of contagion is low,” the institution added.

As the world emerges from the COVID pandemic thanks to coronavirus vaccines, very rare outbreaks of liver inflammation with cases of fulminant hepatitis are occurring everywhere, causing very dangerous symptoms.

The cause of these cases of hepatitis can be due to infection, toxic or something environmental. COVID vaccines are NOT the cause, since according to the UK Health Agency affected individuals were NOT vaccinated. There is no relationship between these cases of hepatitis and vaccination against the coronavirus.

Some experts believe it may be a new strain of the coronavirus. Others argue that it may be due to the omicron BA2 variant causing more severe inflammation.

On the other hand, US scientists managed to isolate adenovirus 41 in some patients with hepatitis. Adenovirus is an endemic virus that causes symptoms of colds, diarrhea, gastroenteritis every year. Perhaps it is a new variant with more mutations of this virus, but everything is still a hypothesis.

The symptoms of hepatitis are fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, jaundice (yellowing of the eyes and skin), darker urine, joint and muscle pain. There may be lighter white or gray stools.

On April 5, the WHO reported 10 cases of severe liver inflammation in Scotland. As of April 8, 74 cases had been identified in the UK. Already some in England, Denmark, Wales, Ireland. 3 cases in Spain. 9 in the US

The WHO issued an alert, saying it is closely monitoring it, and also said more cases are expected to be reported in the coming weeks.
